Welcome back from Spring Break. We published a Spring Break Edition of the Lightning Round. In case you missed it click here.

We are going to "hit the ground running" as we return from break. Our All School Assembly will be starting at 8:40 AM. During the Assembly, Dr. Cook will be officially introducing himself and talking about the awesome things going on at Lakeside.

On Tuesday, April 5th at 6:30 PM we will be hosting "Meet the Principal" in the Library. During this meeting, Dr. Cook will be introducing himself to the parents, talking about the upcoming PARCC assessments, and reviewing his vision for Lakeside. Light refreshments will be provided.

April is Autism Awareness Month. We will be hosting a few activities throughout the month to raise awareness about Autism. Stay tuned for more details.

Awesome News

"Mr. President" and "The First Lady" have been incubating the National Arboretum.

Mrs. Tsoplakis's 8th grade science students  have been introduced to the two eaglets that just hatched and their parents via the Eagle Cam Project. This is such a great opportunity for our students to see these eaglets in their natural habitat from their classroom.

According to Mrs. Tsoplakis, "We started researching questions that arise and reached out to have a live chat with The American Eagle Foundation." If you want more information, be sure to check out this link.
