Its All About Respect at LMS!
We had a memorable week last week. It started off with an excellent turnout for our Parent School Improvement Session. We had 17 parents and guardians meet with our Principal, Dr. Cook to discuss things that are going well and things that need to be improved. The parents have agreed to continue meeting throughout next year and to help work on Action Plans to ensure our school is going in the right direction. Parent who attended were pleased that Dr. Cook was so transparent with the school and accepting of the feedback from the parents. Stay tuned for the next events.
On Tuesday, the 8th graders went to Wildwood for a fun and exciting time at Morey's Pier. All the students were on their best behavior and we received positive feedback from the workers at the pier.
On Thursday, we hosted the 3rd Annual Lip Sync Battle and Food Truck Festival. Everyone who attended enjoyed the show. Our host, Mrs. Pettit did an amazing job of introducing all of the acts. Most of the acts featured staff and administration who helped each other out to make sure the show was awesome. A huge thank you to everyone who attended and we raised close 3,000 dollars for the school.
On Friday, we hosted our first Retirement Dinner in a awhile. At the dinner, hosted by Mrs. Petitt, we honored Mrs. Lokey, Mrs. Schwailik, Mrs. Anderson, Mrs. Hoffman, Mr. Young, Mrs. Lair and Mrs. Jost. There were about 50 staff in attendance.

June 18th is right around the corner and so is the FINAL PBSIS EVENT OF THE YEAR!!!! A catered lunch from Buffalo Wild Wings and hoagies from the deli at Shop Rite AND afterwards.....you'll watch the movie Captain Marvel!!! Time to cash in that Golden Zap or 50 regular zaps. Tickets are limited to the first 100 students.

Winners of the Week - This week we have several winners of the week.
Mr. Hudson - Congratulations to Mr. Hudson for being named the new Principal at Pittsgrove Middle School. He is going to be missed. Even though he was only here for 3 years, he made a huge impact. We are grateful to have worked with him! Good luck Mr. Hudson!

Mrs. Salvati - Thank you to Mrs. Salvati for all her hard work in planning and executing several major activities at LMS. She is our Parent Liason, Fall and Spring Fundraiser Chair, and overall extremely positive person. This year the PTO has raised over 10,000 dollars for Lakeside Middle School.
