Lakeside Lightning,

Lakeside is an opportunity, not an obligation!

8th grade Spring Concert
Last week our students and teachers had quite a week! We continued to assess the students who missed the PARCC through make ups. We are hopeful that we will be fully completed by Tuesday.

Since it was Spirit Week, our students and staff showed their Lakeside Pride. Each day was filled with fun and a lot of unique styles. Students who participated received awards. A fun time was had by all!!!!

Our Fine and Performing Arts Department began the end of the year activities. The 8th grade students displayed their talents at the Spring Concert. Each of the students did a fantastic job. In addition, the Art Show provided an opportunity for everyone to see the hard work in the Art classes.

This week the 6th and 7th grade students will take to the stage to show their skills. Be sure to join us on Monday at 7:00 PM for the 7th graders, and Tuesday at 7:00 PM for the 6th graders. These concerts will be awesome!

Do you like baseball?! Tickets are now on sale for Lakeside Night at the Philadelphia Phillies on May 31. The bus leaves at 5 pm and returns at 11 pm. Tickets are $20 and are first come first served. Family members are welcome. You can get a permission slip at the house offices or the main office!

Teacher in their "Throwback" gear
This Friday we will be having HAT DAY. Students and teachers who want to participate in HAT DAY must donate $1.00. This money will be used to help the PBSIS team implement the end of the year Extravaganza.

ATTENTION ALL 7TH GRADERS: The 7th Grade Class Trip is on June 8th at the Fun Plex.  If you are eligible to attend, Permission Slips are available from your Homeroom Teacher.  Permission Slips and money are to be returned to your Homeroom Teacher.  No payments will be accepted after Friday, May 20th.

This is a reminder from the Millville Athletic Department. Summer Weight Training and Practice Season will begin Monday, June 20, 2016. The Fall Sports Season will begin on Wednesday, August 10, 2016. Any students who plans to participate must have a current sports physical on file in the nurse’s office. Sports physicals are valid for 365 days from the date of exam. If your physical date is more than 90 days old, you must complete a re-cert form. All forms must be turned in to the school nurse. Sports Physical Forms may take up to 10 days to be cleared and Re-cert Forms may take up to 48 hours to be cleared. Only athletes who are cleared can participate – no exceptions. If you have any questions, please contact Mr. LaGamba in the Athletic Office at 856-327-6059 x 4.
