Custodian Appreciation Luncheon 

Are you ready for the 2016-17 school year? Everyone here at Lakeside is ready to welcome the staff on Tuesday, September 6 for a full day of learning and preparation. Then, on Wednesday, September 7 we officially begin the school year for our students! We will begin turning dreams into reality!

During the last week of August, we had a lot of activities going on at Lakeside. On Monday we completed the interview process for the summer. We are confident we selected an excellent candidate for a paraprofessional position!

On Tuesday, Mr. Jimenez and Mrs. Gandy attended the Century 21 meeting to plan out the program for the year. Also on Tuesday, Mr. Hudson coordinated a Professional Development session for 8th grade teachers. These sessions were very effective and it provided the 8th grade teachers the opportunity to collaborate and plan for the school year.

On Tuesday evening we officially welcomed the parents of our incoming 6th grade students for an orientation. The parents were able to meet Mr. Bunting, Mrs. Hallenbeck, Mrs. Jost, Mr. Godfrey and Dr. Cook. The orientation was well attended and parents were appreciative to learn more about our school.

On Wednesday the secretaries, guidance and administrators organized a Custodian Appreciation Luncheon to recognize all of the hard work that had been accomplished over the summer. We are truly appreciative of everything that was done to prepare our building. Many people have remarked that building looks amazing!
