Josmar at the Bubbles for Autism event!
Lakeside Lightning,

It's All About Respect at LMS!

Welcome back from Spring Break. We all hope that you enjoyed your break and are ready to come back refreshed for school!

This week we will begin our state assessments. The assessment, formerly PARCC, is called NJSLA (New Jersey Student Learning Assessment). The results of the NJSLA will be used to judge our school as compared to other schools in New Jersey. We know that one assessment should not be used as a measure, it is extremely important that all students try their best on the NJSLA. Throughout the next few weeks we will not be using the bells and their will be certain hallways that will be "quiet zones" since each grade is testing at different times. We appreciate all students cooperating with our expectations for the next few weeks.

NJSLA Overview
Grade 6 - April 30, May 1, and May 2
Grade 7 - May 3, 6, and 7
Grade 8 - May 8, 9, and 10

Prodigy March Madness Winners
Mrs. Sharpless's Winning Students for March Madness on Prodigy
Mrs. Sharpless's winning students for March madness for you to add to the blog. The questions they answered during the month were in addition to their normal math classwork and homework.

All of her students worked so hard on this challenge. Mrs. Sharpless wanted to commend them all!! In total, all three of her classes answered over 20,000 math problems on Prodigy.

The amount of questions they answered in just one month is incredible! We are all very proud of their hard work and determination on improving their math skills!!!
