It's All About Respect At LMS!

Can you believe it is already June? It seems like it was just September and we were starting out the year. We still have 14 school days to make a difference, learn something new, or make a change. We believe in running through the tape, so teachers will continue to hold high expectations for our students. There are so many learning opportunities that remain in the school year.

Parents - Be part of the School Improvement Process for Lakeside
We will be having a meeting will all who are interested in participating in the School Improvement Process for next year at LMS. Our meeting will be from 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM in the DMC on Monday, June 10. During the meeting, parents will have an opportunity to brainstorm with Dr. Cook about ways to improve Lakeside Middle School for the 2019 - 2020 school year. One of the areas we will be focusing on is cell phone use in Middle School. In preparation for the meeting, Dr. Cook would like your to review the website Away For the Day. Be part of the process! Come out and be part of the solution!

· June 5 – 8^th Grade GT Trip – All Day

· June 5 – Spring Band Concert (7:00 PM) and Art Show (6:00 PM) – 7:00 PM

· June 6 – 6^th Grade Field Trip - Fun Plex – All Day

· June 6 - Congressional Awards – 6:30 PM

· June 7 – Band/Choir Trip - Hershey Park – 4:30AM - 7:30PM

· June 7 - Silver Run visits LMS – 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM

Detective Crain from the NJ State Police came to talk to the 8th grade GT students about Crime Scene Investigation.

Thanks to all of the staff and students for another wonderful year of 21st Century! Registration packets for summer are currently available at the front desk. Return completed packets as soon as possible to the main office.

Yearbooks are here! Yearbooks are here! The yearbooks have arrived! June 6th is the big day! If you pre-ordered a yearbook, you will receive it in homeroom on June 6th. If you didn't pre-order, the extra yearbooks will go on sale June 6th outside of Mrs. Sooy's room, M133, during homeroom for $25 cash or check to Millville Board of Education. There are about 300 extras and they will be sold until they are gone. Don't miss out!!

Congratulations to those students who achieved such greatness. And a BIG THANK YOU to the Student Recognition Committee for planning and executing an epic event!!!
