This week the stage is set for another epic performance from our students! Mark your calendars for for Friday and Saturday night at 7:00 PM in the Lakeside Performing Arts Center! Tickets for this show will be 5 dollars at the door.

Since December, our cast and crew of over fifty students have worked hard to put on a performance of Annie Jr. you won't soon forget.

On Friday March 24th and Saturday March 25th, come see Annie, Oliver "Daddy" Warbucks, Miss Hannigan, and the rest of our amazing cast and crew as they tell the story of a little orphan girl in the 1930's who gets the chance of a lifetime.

Tickets are available for $5 and can be purchased in advance from Mrs. Booz and Mrs. Salvati or at the door the night of the show. There will also be an intermission with light refreshments for sale.We can't wait to see you there!

Last week we avoided the blizzard and we are on target to have our last day of school on Friday, June 16th. We are planning our 8th grade Step Up for Thursday, June 15 at 7:00 PM in the Auditorium. More information will be forthcoming.

Also last week the students earned another Pajama Day through the PBSIS committee. In addition to wearing pajamas, students and teachers were able to play board games and eat bagels and cream cheese while hanging in the cafeteria. It literally pays to be safe, responsible, respectful and a good learner at LMS!

On Friday the 6th graders earned a reward for their behavior. As a follow up to the Bee Assembly last month, Mr. Godfrey and the 6th grade teachers cleared out 3 periods so the students could watch the Bee Movie. Once again, the kids were amazingly well behaved and enjoyed the time! Great job 6th grade!

Thank you to all the vice principals and their secretaries who participated in the Pie in the Face. Thank you to all teachers and students who helped make Pi day special by helping out with the Pi chain and working with the students during their lunches or preps during the Pi memorization. We were able to loop 6,700 loops on our chain! Way to go.

Winner of the week - This week's winner is Dahlia Sewell. Dahlia is an 8th grader at LMS and she presented to over 75% of our staff on Google Classroom. Teachers were so impressed with her they are going to schedule follow up times on how they can learn from her. This says a lot about our teachers and their willingness to learn from students!
