Lakeside Lightning,

Millville PD Trunk or Treat!
The World Is Yours: Turning Obstacles Into Opportunities

This is a very exciting week for middle school students. They have one thing on their mind... Halloween! Although we don't allow the students to dress up at school, we do encourage everyone to go to the Millville Police Department's Trunk or Treat for a safe experience.

We would like to give a big thank you to Mr. Bunting for organizing a very successful Career Day this past Thursday. Each of the students were able to visit the Career Fair and see different options as they explore their options.

Be sure to have your Zaps ready for Tuesday when the PBSIS team serve hot and cold cider during lunches. Remember, we earn Zaps for being Safe, Responsible, Respectful and Good Learners! Each teacher has a system for giving out Zaps, and you can earn them in the cafeteria, hallways, and in gym class.

Stay tuned for next week's blog as we share the updated PBSIS data from this year. One thing is for certain, we are improving! Thank you to all of the students and teachers who are turning obstacles into opportunities.

Tuesday 10/31 Hat Day for Puerto Rico
Student council would like to have a hat day on Oct. 31 for Puerto Rico.  Donations will be $1 and will benefit a family struggling in Puerto Rico that has family in our school. Students will bring their donation down to Mrs. Kern and get a sticker/stamp for the donation to wear their hats. The whole school is able to participate.

Miss match day or just being trend setters?
