Mrs. Biaselli with her surrogate and GMA |
Lakeside Lightning,
Grow through what go through!
Lakeside Middle School was center stage this week as our own Mrs. Biaselli was recognized on the Mother's Day Breakfast In Bed. Millions around the world watched our staff and students cheer on Mrs. Biaselli for her big surprise. If you did not get a chance to see the live feed, we will include the link below.
Dr. Cook, our Principal, had this to say, "This was a huge event for Mrs. Biaselli, her family, her surrogate as well as Lakeside Middle School. There was a lot of work that went into the planning of the "rouse" in order to make sure she was surprised. The folks from GMA were a pleasure to work with. Mrs. Gaunt, Mr. Bird worked tirelessly on ensuring that the event went off without a hitch. Our district administration were extremely supportive as well as our friends at the High School. We hope that everyone understands now why we created the hype about a video and a Teacher Appreciation ceremony."
This week the 8th graders will again be in the spotlight as they take the NJSLA. This assessment is very important and we expect everyone will try their hardest and make Lakeside proud.

‘GMA’ celebrates 2 moms for Mother’s Day - Erika Biaselli and Kasey Hewitt were complete strangers, but their families are forever bonded through their surrogacy journey.
