In an act of community service, our 6th Grade Social Studies students made "Get Well" cards for Mrs. Dottie Cullen.  She is a great patriot and an outstanding Millvillian who has spent the past 70 years of her life dedicating her time to helping improve the lives of veterans.  Dottie  usually attends our Veterans' Day assembly, and even spoke last year.  However, she has broken her leg and was unable to attend last Wednesday's celebration.

Our Cafeteria Staff got into the Halloween Spirit!
Lakeside Lightning,

It's All About Respect at LMS!

We had a very spooktacular week last week. Our first Haunted Hallways was an overwhelming success. Our PBSIS team coordinated the event which raised over 1,200 dollars. We had over 600 visitors who came out dressed for the occasion and got a chance to Trick or Treat and go through the Haunted Hallway. A fun time was had by all!

We also hosted German Exchange students for 8th graders. Our students got the opportunity to learn about the German culture, language as well as their perspective of the United States. This exchange between our students and the German students went very well. Thank you so much to Mr. Harrignton from the High School and Dr. Cook who coordinated the event.

We have a lot scheduled for this week as well. On Tuesday, the AVID site team will be hosting a "Mock" Re-Evaluation meeting in order to remain a National Demonstration School. This designation is a true honor but also one that requires a lot of work!

Tuesday at 6:00 PM we are hosting our NJCAP (New Jersey Child Assault Prevention) Parent Meeting. At the meeting, we will be reviewing the NJCAP program that students will be going through. You will also get a chance to learn how students can be safe, strong and free!
For more information, please check out this link.

On Wednesday, our 6th grade Social Studies team is hosting our annual Veterans Day celebration and Assembly. We will be following the Afternoon Assembly Schedule in order to accommodate this awesome event!

Just a reminder that all Millville Schools will be closed on Thursday and Friday for the NJEA Teachers Conference!
