| Gratitude Wordle |
We had such an amazing week last week as we celebrated gratitude. Each day there was something to remind us why we need to thank others and be grateful for what we have accomplished as a school. One of the collaborative activities was the Wordle we created as school with input from parents, staff, and students. The Wordle was comprised of all of the comments in the Google doc that over 300 people filled out.
The Week of Gratitude expanded into the classrooms as teachers and students wrote thank you notes and cards for each other. Some classes made "Gratitude Walls" for everyone to express what they were most grateful for. In fact, Wednesday before the break there was a definite shift in the climate as everyone focused on gratitude.

| PBSIS Fall Frolic Challenge - Cup Staking |
Our PBSIS Fall Frolic was awesome. Students who have earned Zaps were able to take part in "Minute to Win It" type challenges such as flipping the water bottle. multiplication pong, and scooter races. Thank you so much to everyone who supports a safe, responsible and respectful school!
This week we will be transitioning into December. During the month of December we have a lot of exciting activities planned. Each grade will be performing at the Winter Concerts (8th - December 5; 7th - December 7; and 6th - December 8) all starting at 7:00 PM in the Auditorium. Our students will be visiting the Veterans home. We will be hosting our annual Book Fair December 5 - 9.
We want to thank everyone for their continued support of Lakeside Middle School. We couldn't do it without YOU!

room M101 as soon as possible. You will be given a gold packet and either a re-certification form or a physical form. If you are still interested in joining the team, please see Coach Williams in room M101. First practice for wrestling is on Tuesday November 29th after school in the auxiliary gym.
Attention all girls who signed up for basketball – Coach Fry has posted a list of names with information regarding the start of the season in the cafeteria. Be sure to check the list for your status.
Just a reminder boys’ basketball practice will begin at 3:25 pm on Monday 11/28. Please have all physicals turned in before that date or you will not be able to practice with the team. Any problems or issues please speak with Coach Davis in room B 106.
Tuesday, November 29th, the Lakeside PTO will have a meeting in the art room at 5 p.m. to discuss some fun and exciting events for the winter and spring! All parents who attend will be entered into a drawing to win an Entertainment Card. The drawing will be held at the end of the meeting so someone will leave a winner! A $20 value, keep the card for yourself or give as a gift! Can’t wait to see you there!

Do you like brainteasers? Is trivia your thing? If so, GT After Hours is the club for you. All Lakeside students can sign up for this club. We meet on Mondays. Please see Mrs. Gaudio in M134 to register. You MUST have a ride home to join the club.
Do you like to sing? Dance? Is acting your specialty? Are you a talented artist? If so, Performance Plus is for you. This two-day workshop takes place at Wheaton Village on December 19th and 20th. All Lakeside students are able to sign up for this activity. There is a $40 fee to attend. Please see Mrs. Gaudio in M134 to register. Don’t delay – spots fill up quickly!
Yearbook pre-orders are now being taken in Mrs. Sooy's room, M133. Yearbooks are $20 in November and December and $25 starting in January. Be smart and order early by bringing $20 cash or check, to Millville Board of Education, to M133. There is also an option this year to order online. Information on how to do that went home a couple weeks ago. Don't miss out on this year's memories!
