We also talked with the students about the Retention Policy since the first marking period is coming to a close. This policy went into effect in September of 2016 and can be found on page 7 of the Student Handbook or click here.

Boy Scouts
In addition, on Tuesday we had an Election Day organized by Mrs. Bergman and the Social Studies Department. Students were able to cast their ballot and learn about the voting process in the USA. When the votes were counted, our students selected Hillary Clinton as their candidate.

On Wednesday, Mrs. Kern and the Social Studies teachers organized a memorable Veterans Day Celebration. We hosted Veterans from several different wars in the DMC for a luncheon. After the luncheon we honored the Veterans at a whole school assembly. The program went very well and we were even able to hear from local politicians who motivated our students.

This week we will host Silver Run and Mt. Pleasant schools for a Tae Kwon Do Graduation. On Thursday, November 17 at 6:00 PM, representatives from the Tae Kwon Do organization will see how hard our students have been working on their moves! Feel free to come out to Gym on Thursday at 6:00 PM to support our 6th graders and see students from around the district.
