Week of Gratitude - November 21 - 25, 2016

Lakeside Lighting,

Turning Dreams Into Reality

6th grade Staff Thanksgiving
Since we will be celebrating Thanksgiving this week, we decided to create a Week of Gratitude at Lakeside Middle School. Each day the students and staff will be encouraged to express their gratitude through a few activities. Who knows where all this will lead? Students and staff are encouraged to take this to another level!

According to Webster's dictionary, gratitude is defined as....
grat·i·tude
ˈɡradəˌt(y)o͞od/
noun
the quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness.

Here is an overview of our Week of Gratitude:
Monday - All staff will receive a blank Thank You card. They will be encouraged to write a Thank You to someone that they are thankful.

Tuesday - Gratitude List into a Wordle - Staff and students will be encouraged to fill out the form (click here) and write 3 things they are grateful for at Lakeside Middle School. We will take all of the words and phases and create a Gratitude Wordle.

Wednesday - All teachers will be provided with two blank sheets of paper for each student. Then, during their Strategies class they will be encouraged to write a Thank You to any teacher who has impacted them.

This Monday (11/21) we will be hosting our Parents as Leaders Kickoff at 6:00 PM in the DMC. Parents have been encouraged to sign up for this awesome opportunity. If you would still like to attend, please feel free to show up on Monday. For more information, contact Ms. Moratelli or Dr. Cook.

Just a reminder that we will be having an Early Dismissal on Wednesday, November 23 at 1:05 PM.
