The World Is Yours: Turning Obstacles Into Opportunities
Message from Dr. Cook
As I reflect on this week, I can't help but go back to our theme: The World Is Yours: Turning Obstacles Into Opportunities. This week our school faced obstacles to the safety and security of our learning environment.
As I stated in the letter to parents, we take every threat to our safety very serious. Fortunately, there was never a credible threat to our school. Yet, what ensued was a series of rumors and hysteria that began to disrupt the school. I really hope, from the bottom of my heart, that our community can learn something from this experience. I hope that we can all heal from this and perhaps begin to check our sources of information for accuracy. I hope that we can turn this obstacle into an opportunity to improve ourselves, our school, and our society. Should anyone ever have questions or concerns regarding Lakeside, please do not hesitate to contact me by phone (293-2450) or email.
This is our last post of 2017! Please enjoy the Winter Break and spend time with those you love!
