Wednesdays will continue to be a Remote Day following the same schedule as we have had all year. Virtual students are required to log into each class through Google Classroom everyday. Here is a link to April calendar (and it is always on the right hand side of the blog and our school website).

Amnesty and Reward Weeks Was an Overwhelming Success
Prior to the Spring Break, the Lakeside Staff gave Amnesty to students who were struggling to get things in on time during this pandemic learning experience. Students were able to make up work from the 3rd marking period and although they didn't get full credit, they were able to get some credit which helped a lot. While Amnesty was occurring, the students who had been handing in everything were able to enjoy rewards!
We reduced failures by 600 classes! |

Saturday Enrichment Program Gets Off to a Great Start
We have 60 students in grades 6-8 who have committed to a 10 week Saturday Enrichment Program to bolster their grades and learning. The coordinator of the program, Mrs. Sharpless, said this about the opening day on April 17, "The students and staff did an incredible job this week. In addition to setting the tone and objectives of the program, the students were able to begin identifying areas they want to learn more about. The staff developed interesting, real world applications for the students. We are very excited about this program!" In addition to Mrs. Sharpless, Mrs. Steelman is Security, Ms. Langlois and Ms. McCallion are the 6/7 teachers and Ms. Shelton and Mr. Fry are the 7/8 teachers.
