Lakeside Lightning Round May 3 - 7, 2021

Lakeside Lightning,

The School of Tomorrow, Today!

This is National Teacher Appreciation Week. At Lakeside Middle School we celebrate all of our staff this week. The administrative team has put together a very COVID 19 safe approach to celebrating the staff. Unfortunately, Dr. Cook can't barbeque for the staff as he has done in the past, but we will hopefully have that next year!

Our students, staff and parents will be working this week on our School Improvement Plan for next year. On Monday and Tuesday, Dr. Cook and Ms. Gaunt will be facilitating Focus Groups with 80 students who were recommended by their teachers. On Wednesday, Dr. Cook will be facilitating a Focus Group with parents. Our teachers will be working collaboratively in their PLCs to address areas they want to see improved. Throughout the remainder of the month, the School Improvement Team will be meeting to refine the goals for next year.

Parents - Want to be part of the School Improvement Process?

Parents interested in participating in the School Improvement Process should email Dr. Cook (spike.cook@millville,org). There will be a Zoom Meeting on Wednesday from 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM. Please contact Dr. Cook if you are interested.
