May 15 - 19, 2017

Lakeside Lightning,

Turning Dreams Into Reality!

8th graders at the Semi!
We hope that everyone had an awesome Mother's Day! This is a very special day for all of us because of the role that Mom's play in our life. In fact, many teachers feel that that they have plenty of "kids" each year. Yes, that's true that our teachers view the students as their own kids because they care about them, want the best for them, and are there for them while their at school. As we begin our week, we want to thank everyone for what they do to make Mother's Day an important day!

Lakeside Lightning,

Turning Dreams Into Reality!

We have been fully engaged in the PARCC exams this past week. Our 6th graders finished up their PARCC and the 7th graders began and finished their testing. We could not have completed such a task without the cooperation of all of our staff under the leadership of Mrs. Hallenbeck and Mr. Hudson!

This week we will be celebrating National Teacher Appreciation Week! Each day we have activities and rewards for our staff because they have had such an impact on our school! Be sure to #thankateacher this week!

In addition to the PARCC exams, our students have been working hard on various learning tasks. This is a great time of year for students and teachers to take learning to the next level. Some classes have been going outside, while others are creating new projects. Each and everyday something new is happening at LMS!
