Lakeside Lightning Round December 12/20 - 12/24, 2021

Lakeside Lightning,

Grow through what you go through

We are looking forward to the Winter Break that starts this Thursday at 1:00 PM. Our staff and students deserve a much needed break and prepare for the New Year. In 2022, we will be changing a few things about the school to ensure that we are continuing to improve.

One of the areas we will be focusing on is students out of classes multiple times a day. We will be using a Google Sheet to track the amount of times students are leaving to use the bathroom. Sound extreme? Unfortunately, there are numerous students who are using the bathroom excuse to get out of class. In addition, students who are late to class will be facing increased consequences for their actions.

At Lakeside, we believe that learning is essential and students who are on time and remain in class do better with their grades.

Holiday Spirit Week

Monday break out your festive or crazy socks for MistleTOE Monday. No slippers please. On Toasty Tuesday get out your flannel and stay warm and cozy all day. Wednesday is for ugly sweaters and Thursday we are decking the halls in red, green, gold, silver, or anything sparkly.

Door Decorating Contest

National Junior Honor Members would like to thank all the staff members who participated in our sixth Holiday Door Decorating Contest.  We had 27 amazing entries.  It was an extremely difficult decision for us to choose a winner.  But… (dramatic pause) without further ado, here are the winners!
