Lakeside Lightning Round - April 25 - April 29, 2022

6th grade students working on Autism Awareness

Lakeside Lightning,

Grow through what you go through!

Welcome back from Spring Break. We hope that you had an amazing time off and enjoyed the past ten days. On Monday, April 25, 2022 we are looking to get right back to the work of making Lakeside better. Our staff will be helping the students transition back into the routine, as well as preparing them for the NJSLA. We are really hoping to do well on the NJSLA! More information on that below.

This week we will be hosting our Climate and Culture consultant Stand Tall Steve for his infamous Motivational Rallies. The purpose of the Motivational Rally Assembly is to review school expectations in a fun and positive way. In the past, students and teachers have raved about these assemblies and we feel that it will be a great opportunity as we transition back from Spring Break, revitalize PBSIS and prepare for the end of the school year.

The assemblies will be approximately one hour, and the periods are listed below.
  • 8th Grade - Period 3/4
  • 6th Grade - Period 5/6
  • 7th Grade - Period 7/8
Parent/Guardian School Improvement Meeting is Monday, April 25, 2022 at 6PM in the DMC

Parent/Teacher Organization kickoff meeting is Monday, April 25, 2022 at 7PM in the DMC

Olympic Day T Shirts
Hello 6th grade parents! We are having an Olympic Day for the students on June 1st (rain date June 2nd). We sent home an order form for a T-Shirt in their homerooms last week. Forms and $10 were due this week. We noticed not everyone seemed to be aware. If you would like your child to have an Olympic Day T-Shirt, please email cheyenne.langlois@millville.org with your child's name and shirt size (child L and XL or adult sizes). Please send in the $10 with your child on the Monday we return from break. Thank you!

Also absolutely no cell phones, SmartWatches, Airpods or any other electronic devices are allowed in the testing room so please remind your child that it needs to be off and in their locker during testing.
