The World Is Yours: Turning Obstacles Into Opportunities

This week is Teacher Appreciation Week. We are so honored to work with such awesome and dedicated teachers! Lakeside Middle School's teachers are so dedicated to their students and subjects. In honor of Teacher Appreciation Week, we will be asking students (parents you can participate too) to write a letter to a teacher who has had an impact on them in a positive way. This can be done in Advisory or on your free time. Be sure to show your gratitude for the hard working LMS teachers!

Since we will still be taking the PARCC this week, we are doing a low key Teacher Appreciation Week. All staff will get "Cookies from Cook" on Tuesday, May 8. The real treat for teachers will be next week and with PARCC completed we will be having a Teacher Appreciation Luncheon for all staff on Wednesday, May 16. Stay tuned for more details!

Lakeside Middle School Students Plant Dogwood Tree for Arbor Day (SNJ Today)
After their Arbor Day celebration was rained out last week, kids at Lakeside Middle School in Millville got to celebrate today with — what else? The planting of a tree. The Millville City Parks and Public Property Department, along with the Millville Shade Tree Commission, planted a dogwood at the school with lots of help from the students. Not only did the kids plant the tree, they also planted wildflower seeds in hopes of attracting bees.  Click here for the video
