Lakeside Lightning Round October 11 - 15, 2021

Lakeside Lightning

Grow through what you go through

We hope that everyone enjoyed their 4 day break. To say that we needed that break is an understatement. Schools across the country continue to work tirelessly to get the students back into the swing of learning in person with all of the challenges of educating in a pandemic. Lakeside is no different but we continue to take on the challenge by rewarding those who are following the expectations and holding those who are not accountable for their actions.

On Thursday, October 7 we hosted our first in-person 8th grade Glow Dance for eligible students. There were 140 students who had fun, danced, all while adhering to the COVID protocols. Look out for other activities as we continue to provide opportunities for students at LMS!

Last week our students took the Start Strong Assessment for the NJDOE. These assessment results, along with LinkIt Benchmarks will help our teachers guide instruction for those who are struggling and those who are secure. Once we get the results, we will be showing the Lakeside School community. Standardized tests tell us one aspect of the learning process. We will also be doing Climate and Culture surveys and interviews to continue telling all aspects of the story!
