AVID students won 500 dollars for their Shark Tank idea
The sun came out this weekend! Our students did a phenomenal job with their Annie Jr. production! Each night the auditorium was packed as the kids sang, danced and showed everyone that you are not fully dressed without a smile. We all know its a hard knock life, but we can accomplish anything together! Thank you to Mrs. Booz, Mrs. Salvati and Ms. Heim for their hard work in organizing the play!
This week we will be having grade level meetings to address a few ongoing concerns. Each grade level will review the positives, PARCC, Respect, and Cell Phones. A letter will be sent home to all parents to review the changes with Cell Phones. Please be advised, Cell Phones are a PRIVILEGE, not a RIGHT at LMS.
8th grade AVID students presented their Shark Tank ideas for community improvement this week to the Millville Neighborhood Alliance. The Park Clean Up crew won 500 dollars to fund their clean up of a local park. In addition, all of the other teams won donations from the Superintendent Dr. Gentile for their efforts! The PBSIS Committee is selling official tee shirts! For $15, you can support our awesome committee and promote positivity in our school. Shirts are light grey with a black-and-yellow lightning logo. See Miss Wichnick in B112 as soon as possible to place your order!
Any student interested in playing Intramural floor hockey before school please pick up a permission slip from Coach Camerieri or Coach Wittman. All students need a current physical form in order to play.
Tickets are now on sale for Lakeside Family Friendly Night at the Philadelphia Phillies Game on Friday, June 2nd. Bus leaves Lakeside at 5 and returns at 11. Tickets are $25 cash (only-no checks accepted) per person and pizza and soda will be provided at 4:00 p.m. at Lakeside before the game. Permission slips are available in the main office. Permission slips can be returned to Mrs. Benfer in the main office.
Lakeside lightning car magnets are now for sale! Each magnet is $5 and proceeds go towards events at Lakeside. Bring $5 to Mrs. Salvati or to the upstairs zap store to get your magnet today!

About our JDRF Fundraiser
Reminders:
1. Please remind students that $10 earns a ticket to the walk and $20 earns a ticket to both the walk and the PBSIS event. Money due April 6, 2017
2. Students will be able to buy tickets to the PBSIS event using ZAP's once the JDRF collection has ended.
3. Students MUST wear sneakers the day of the walk and the PBSIS event in order to participate.
4. The walk is April 13, 2017 from 8:40-10:40 AM. The Fitness Fun Day is during periods 7 and 8. Technology Students of the Week - Ms. Lind's students continue to increase their 21st Century skills
