We are excited for another amazing week at Lakeside Middle School! On Monday, February 26, 2018 all parents are invited to LMS to learn about the ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act) and help us with our School Improvement Plan for the 2018-19 School Year. The meeting will be from 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM in the DMC. You can enter through the front doors or the 6th grade entrance.

Mark your calendar for the first Millville Youth Empowerment Summit on Saturday, March 17, 2018 from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM at Lakeside Middle School. This Summit will feature exciting workshops on topics such as leadership, mindfulness, careers and health and wellness. There is no cost tot the Summit and there is free food and giveaways! Students and parents can pre register at by clicking here. We hope you will join us for the Summit!

Daily Announcements
Lakeside Wrestling finished the season with a win against Lower Cape May regional by the score of 24-12. Impressive pins and wins by Carlos Rosa-Colon, Anthony Kukal, Anthony Romero, Juan Romero with two pins, Jose Bravo, and Elijah Edwards.
Lakeside Wrestling pay attention for upcoming announcements on uniform drop off after school. Don’t forget about the hoodies.  Great finish BOLTS!

Hello Lakeside Family! Gabby Akiatan would like to sincerely thank everyone who has supported her Diaper Drive. We have collected a total of 1,103 diapers and 1,646 single baby wipes! All the collected diapers and baby wipes will be delivered to the Cumberland County Catholic Charities Diaper Bank this week.

The boy’s basketball team beat Alder Avenue 38-33 in their final home game of the season. Keyvon Harrell led all scorers with 11 points. Also, Calem Bowman added 9 points and Jabbaar Barriento contributed to the win with another 8 points. The boys close out the season Monday away at Pleasantville.

All members of student council must stop by to pick up the Millville Youth Empowerment Summit papers - Everyone must return the form completed with a parent signature.  Due Friday March 2 

It’s time for track and field sign – ups. If you think you are fast or strong or both, then sign –up for the Lakeside Track and Field Team. Sign-ups are located in the cafeteria. If you sign – up, be sure to take home the parent information sheet that will be located next to the sign-up list.

We are collecting Box Tops again.  Your homeroom teacher should have given you a collection sheet so don't delay.  Bring your box tops or filled collection sheets in by February 26th.  There will be great prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place homeroom winners.

Tickets are still on sale for Lakeside Family Friendly Night at the Philadelphia 76’ers Game (76ers vs. Charlotte Hornets) on Monday, March 19th. Bus leaves Lakeside at 5 and returns at 10:30. Tickets are $25 cash (only-no checks accepted) per person and food will be provided at 4:00 p.m. at Lakeside before the game. Permission slips are available in the main office and can be turned into Ms. Benfer.

Thank you and our Black History Fact of the day is: Marvel's BLACK PANTHER, the first global superhero blockbuster with an African American director and a mostly black cast,  set records for a February opening and for a Presidents Day weekend debut.  Black Panther's sales is ranked as the fifth highest domestic opening weekend of all time.
